In reply to Shae. The cream cheese is a key ingredient for the best flavor. Baker's Square uses cream cheese too! I don't recommend omitting it.

I was wondering if I HAD to use cream cheese, if not I would use pudding mix to stabilize the homemade whipped cream. It’s hard to find this recipe without cream cheese but this one stands out to me and I wanna make it tonight!!

I ended up with a comically proportioned pie as this is about double the amount of filling for my great depression size 9 inch pie plates. My husband is calling it Oreo hill

So good I added powdered sugar to the cream cheese and butter, about a cup. I doubled the whipped topping but wasn’t sure if the 1 1/2 cups needed to be doubled as well. So that’s why I added p Suharto cream cheees butter filling before incorporating. So goood

So good. This pie is absolute perfection. The flavors are amazing and it is perfectly sweet. The recipe is fairly easy to follow and not too complicated.

Recipe was delicious, but I used a regular 9 inch pie dish and it was too small for the amount of filling. Use either a deep dish or a 9.5 inch.
