HOWEVER, I have made your recipe before and love this recipe and would like to use it for a black forest cake… so will this whipped cream work well for an icing and hold in a cherry filling between cake layers???

I suggest making it close to when you want to serve it for the best texture. I have made it in advance before and it’s still great, but it’s the best when it’s fresh. Sometimes I’ll have my daughter make it while we’re finishing up dinner with guests. She loves helping and then it’s super fresh!

We keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days! You can freeze it for up to 2 months.
