Yes! The chilling is key! I’m so happy you love this recipe Amanda! The chunks of Oreo are my favorite part!

Great Dirt Cake recipe! Loved the little bites of Oreo throughout instead of crushing all of them up. Agree that you should let it chill in fridge for longer, like overnight, before eating it. It tastes a lot better after the flavors have had time to really meld together. I tasted it after chilling for 6-8 hours, and I thought it was good, but I tasted it again after it had chilled for about 20 hours, and it was awesome! Thank you for the recipe and the great suggestions!

It’ll still be yummy, but it’s the best when chilled overnight!

I want to make this in my cooking club but we will only have about 1-2 hours for it to chill before dessert. Will that be enough time? Thank you!

Made this for Easter and it got rave reviews! I’ve made basic dirt cake (chocolate pudding, whipped topping, and oreos) several times, but this was extra special and delicious!

You can use different flavor pudding if you’d like with different flavors of Oreo cookies!

Lemon or vanilla or banana?

Great idea on making it more dirt colored, Mackie!

I made this exactly according to your instructions,, except just before assembling I decided I wanted to make it more dirt colored. I added some chocolate syrup to the pudding mixture, just enough to make it light brown. Tasted delicious! Thanks!
